Terms of Use
You acknowledge the following aspects related to your participation in the activities of the establishment Le Club Équestre. You have been informed and you are aware of the dangers, hazards and risks associated with handling horses, beside them or on their back, in the context of riding lessons or horseback riding.
You acknowledge that, by your presence in the stable, the practice of equestrian sports and participation in Club activities, you expose yourself to inherent risks of serious, severe and even fatal injuries. Horses, although they are generally safe, are and remain unpredictable animals at all times. And in order to reduce these risks as much as possible, you agree to follow the instructions and rules to the extent of your abilities and to respect the Club EQ rules. In the case of a child, you agree to make sure they fully understand the inherent risks and to emphasize the importance of following the stable's rules and instructions.
In addition to your acceptance of the risks, you waive any recourse for any material damage that I may suffer while you are present on the Club EQ site or while you participate in one or more events sanctioned by the Club EQ, whether such material damage is caused by an accident, the fault of a third party or otherwise. This waiver benefits the stable, its directors, its employees (teachers, instructors, volunteers), its members, successors and assigns as well as the promoters, participants, track operators, track owners, officials, rescue personnel, sponsors, advertisers or any other natural or legal person who participated in the realization of the activity, its setup or its promotion.
As a parent or guardian, you authorize the management of Club EQ to provide any nursing care that may be required, and if management deems it necessary, you also authorize transport of “myself or the child under my responsibility” by ambulance or otherwise to a hospital or community health facility.
You agree to sign the waiver, available on the membership form
In addition, you agree to follow all the rules and regulations of the Club Équestre du Quartier as listed below

You are welcome in our lovely facility; please do your part to help keep it that way. Enjoy our arenas, trails, lounge, staff, clinicians and fellow riders as much as we do, and if there are rules that seem unnecessary, unfair or missing, please bring them to our attention so that we can clarify or change them accordingly.

Arena Etiquette
Lessons have priority in the arenas
Before entering an arena – (at a gate of an outdoor arena, or at a door of an indoor arena) – all riders must ask and/or inform those inside of their intention to enter [Stay clear!]. Only after the response [Clear] may you enter.
Under no circumstances may anyone enter an arena without the coach's specific authorization.
If you are late and a lesson has started, you are not permitted to enter without the coach's permission, and only if the coach allows it. Late arrivals are non-refundable.
When riding, if you need to stop, the ideal place is the centre of the arena and off the track lines.
A safe distance (approximately 2-2.5 m) must be maintained when following or being near another horse.
All activities in the arenas should be in the same direction.
In order to preserve the quality of the footing in the indoor and outdoor arenas
all riders must pick up their horse droppings no later than after using the arena ;
avoid stepping on the droppings until they are removed.
Please ask the coach present if you may ride in the same arena where their class is taking place. It is solely their decision to let you enter, and they may ask you to put barriers between you and their class.
Cleanliness
All persons present at the Club are required to keep the facilities clean.
Please clean up immediately any mess that you or your horse produce during tacking up or returning (manure, hoof pick, brush, trim, etc.).
All users are required to keep the horse wash stalls and wash areas clean after washing a horse. Manure must not enter the sewage system.
After a lesson or a ride, please hang your saddle in the tack room.
Each saddle has been assigned a saddle rack, a bridle rack and a girth; they must be put back in their places
Wash your bit
Hang your bridle with an “eights” throatlatch.
Place your saddle pad upside down on your saddle to air it out.
Please put the brushes, hoof picks and other items away in the tack room.
Please clean the sink after using it and do not leave standing water on the counter.
All mane trimmings must be swept up and thrown in the garbage bins.
Do not leave any equipment in the aisles
Buckets, etc. must be stored in the tack room.

Any request to change a lesson or class incurs a fee of $25 per change request.
24 HRS or less' notice for illness; before the start of the lesson, we will do our best to find you a spot in another lesson within 7 days following the missed lesson, subject to availability at the time. Please note that it is unfortunately impossible to guarantee this, and therefore you risk losing the lesson. If you are unable to take the make-up lesson, it will not be possible to postpone or replace it.
